holiday LOVE!

if you know me AT ALL
then you know about my
not-so-secret Christmas OBSESSION!
I LOVE everything about this time of year...
but the very BESTEST part
is Christmas Eve...
the food (everything from pizza to lasagne..
depending on the year and our mood)...
the program (singing/piano/storytelling)...
the nativity (even our 17 year old still plays along)...
the 300+ pictures that make up our
year-in-review slide show...
the jammies (cause everyone needs new pjs)...
the gifts...
lighting a candle to remember the Savior...
dropping into bed at 2 a.m.
and being awakened by Lady at 3 a.m....
EVERY BIT OF THE WHOLE NIGHT is
MAGICAL & FULL OF WONDERFUL!

what nativity reenactment would be complete
without bathrobes and tinsel...

the baker's dozen...getting WAY too grown up!

baby Nash...we just can't get enough
of this little guy

even the doll got matching pj's
for the special night

NINJA JACE

La-la-loopsy dolls....

Harry Potter is good in any form...
book form, dvd form, and even
Lego PS3 form

the girls finally got those
desperately needed i-touch's

SURPRISE!
Tim got me an ipad....
I had absolutely NO idea...
Once I got over the sticker shock,
I realized just how much I LOVE this surprise!

BIG TRAAAAAAAK!
if you haven't seen "kid history 7"
get on youtube and watch it...
then this will make sense!

Ultimate Perplexus

Smiles all around for every one!
Wonderful, wonderful Christmastime!!

Christmas tunes

silly kiddos...
singing silly Christmas songs....
so very fun!

Who knew there were BYU
Santa hats?

Such a fun tradition at the school...
and so helps with the
getting-in-the-Christmas-Spirit mood!
Gotta say...
I'm looking forward to every minute
of the next two weeks...
especially the no homework minutes!

those days...

Remember the days when you talked for hours
on the phone with your best friend?
You talked about homework...
You talked about the weekend....
You talked about that boy....
You talked about the new plan for Friday night...
You talked about wearing twinner outfits for a day...
You talked about the future....
Really, you talked about EVERYTHING!
So now...
replace "talked" with "texted"
and really, nothing has changed,
except that it's not you anymore,
it's this grown up girl that you just love!

TWINNERS....
totally
absolutely
planned.

right down to the shoes on their feet!

and the Atlantis stone around their necks!
Such beautiful girls :)

that elf!

So last year we started the whole "Elf on a Shelf" business....
Our elf, Twinkle, pretty much plays pranks on the kids,
and gives daily reports to Santa about their
naughty or nice-ness
Twinkle was up all night for this prank,
so I just had to share.

She took the stuffed animals hostage,
tied them to the fan in the family room,
and left a ransom note
(although Kenzie is pretty sure
that the note proves Twinkle
is a serial killer elf!)

Jace and Lady have already been hard at work...
they are making clothes and house for Twinkle
to show their LOVE
and get their stuff back :)

--i sing--you sing--let's all sing--

This was THE week of choir performances...
the girls looked lovely-
the boys looked handsome-
the songs sounded festive-
but the best part....
looking at the pics afterwards
and seeing all the faces that can be
innocently captured
while trying to get a shot of your kid!

worst thing about being short....
you're always tip-toeing to see over
that girl in front of you!

love having cousins at the same school...
and Brit is a good lookin' one too!

she's hatin' the choir dresses,
but LOVIN' her shoes!
I won't say too much,
but do take a look at some of these
faces...you'll get a laugh :)

Grandma and Papa were good sports...
sitting through 3 hours worth of Christmas songs!
It was a whirlwind of a week,
and I can't believe we are ready to start
the final week  of school before Christmas break...
which, by the way,
I am TOTALLY looking forward to!
