gratitude

Last night was the annual
Benefit Concert
at the Junior High.
Of course, there was music
as was expected...
and Kenzie looked all beautiful & grown up
as was expected...

What I didn't expect
were the teary eyes
and even a bit of heartache
that came with the final song.
Donations at the concert were made to benefit
a sweet 18 month old girl...Taylor.
Taylor was born with hydrocephalus
and without her right eye.
She has had 16 surgeries in her short life.
The students sang "One Small Voice"
while we watched slide show of Taylor
I couldn't help but think of my own babies,
healthy, happy, and growing like weeds.
I came home feeling so grateful
for all that I have.
