Tis the Season...

Tonight for FHE we decorated gingerbread houses....actually it was one house, but thankfully, there were four pine trees. The younger kids all took a tree and decorated like crazy, while Kenzie and I put the house together and worked on the roof. Surprisingly, no cookies were broken or dropped, and they were all very proud of their finished house o' candy. Don't you just love Christmastime?

thankful....1979

Man! We were some good lookin' kids! This is me, Scott, Jill and Damon. Scott looks an awfully lot like his Maddie and his plaid overalls are screaming 1970!
This is Nicole, Clark and Angela. The look on Angela's face makes me wonder if there was a little something extra in the mashed potatoes that year...hmmmm.

Bambi, Craig....you gotta love the threads...and the glasses...You look so nice against the flowery curtain....hee!hee!

Lana and Dean....the vest is so....vertical....and the food is making me hungry! Notice the paper turkey fan decor in the background....that finally was retired a few years ago.
Tanya, Nyle and Bryan....what to say...We love you guys! And we miss Nyle every year.

thankful....the 90's

I couldn't resist posting some pictures of the famous Argyle Thanksgivings. Remember playing "Guesstures"--I think this is Dean's reenactment of a kangaroo..hee!hee! And do you all remember Nyle's bird---he just kept drawing a big triangle on his face...and nobody had a clue what he was doing...although Candy seems to know something!?
I'm really not sure what game this is....but it looks awfully boring. Lindsey looks like she is way too cool to be hanging with Brady and Dylan...aaahhh teenagers!

Damon's side lean to avoid the picture was not so successful---he is still all the way in the picture.

Angela? Nicole? Seriously!! We all had a lot of big hair action going on.....such memories.

New Eyes

Just over a week ago, we took the family to a BYU Basketball game (much more enjoyable than Saturday's pummeling by Utah). While we were there, Tim noticed Carter was having a hard time reading the scoreboard. Huh....never really thought about getting his eyes checked...good mom! Tim spent the rest the night having Carter try to read stuff around the Marriott Center. We went to the eye doctor the next day and it took him about 5 seconds to figure out that Carter was nearsighted..who knew? Obviously, not us. It took some serious tears and talking to convince Carter that his world was not ending. The new glasses came in this weekend, and happily, Carter decided they look pretty cool. Not to mention, he entertained himself quietly through the entire sacrament meeting taking them off and on, off and on, and seeing how they made everything change. Just glad he is happy!

Little Chimp came for a visit

Lady got to bring home her class friend--Little Chimp. He spent the day with us yesterday. We went to Costco, had lunch, played, watched tv, and read books--all with Little Chimp. Laityn insisted that Little Chimp needed to sleep in her bed, not in the backpack (I would have preferred the backpack so we didn't forget to return him this morning---which we almost did).
This is Laityn's picture of her and Jace playing house with Little Chimp. I love her "furry" effect!

For those of you not fluent in phoenetical spelling, I'll translate:
"I ate lunch with my brother and Little Chimp and we watch tv. We played house."
I love Kindergartener's! Especially mine!

...wife/mom/teacher/photographer?

So....I've been taking so many pictures lately. I've even done some pictures for friends and family. I am seriously considering starting up a little photography business on the side---Am I crazy? I posted some of my newest pictures here and I'm working on a new blog that will show some of the stuff I've done. Wish me luck!

......By the way, I hope you all have your Twilight tickets! I'm sure it won't be as great as we all hope, but it should be fun!........

Primary Overload

After a presidency meeting that ran well past midnight, I am feeling like we have too much happening on the primary front right now. We are trying to figure out teachers and classes for about 220 children. It was also recently discovered that if our ward wants to rotate to the 9 a.m. schedule, the primary needs to give up 3 classrooms... that took some serious effort to work out. It looks like 3 of our 4 nurseries will be giving up half of their rooms during the 3rd hour. (I'm sure that won't be painful at all....) We also had this fabulous idea to make wooden block picture holders for birthday gifts next year. Now all we need to do is paint all 220 of them, sand the edges, and rub on the vinyl lettering (that won't take long...). We also need to burn CD's of next year's primary songs for each family in the ward and get them passed out. And we are still trying to find a way to start bringing the "new" sunbeams into sharing time for the month of December (there is literally no more room for even one row of chairs, and we need room for 18 little bodies). Somehow, we have worked this out for the last 2 years, so I'm sure we'll get it all together...but right now, I think we are all feeling slightly frazzled! Maybe I need to follow suit with Jace, take a good long nap, and then jump back into reality... (as if I could ever take a nap at 4:00 in the afternoon, I can't even go to the bathroom without being interrupted!)
