today was a BIG day for Maddy
She received the "Hope of America" award...
Each 6th grade teacher picks
one boy and one girl from their class
to receive this award.
The local Kiwanis Club sponsors the awards
and helps with the presentation.
Maddy had no idea she had been picked
until they called her name and we walked in.
The honor was deserved...
Maddy has worked so hard all year
the award says the following:
"who has demonstrated during this school year
capacity for leadership, ethical and moral character,
and outstanding academic accomplishment."

that's shock and awe on her face
so happy Papa could come share the moment...grandma was across town to be there for Brit
who was receiving the same award at his school!
Happy Day for Maddy!
